Every dream has a meaning, even if it's not spiritual. Dream is where your superconscious mind meets your subconscious mind. Heaven necessarily doesn't mean a place, it can be your state of mind. You want your dad to be happy, no matter where he is. So in your dream, you placed him in the happiest place you could think of.

People who have had near death experiences, have often described they feel a bright light of love. Some have even said they didn't want to come back. I also found an interview of a woman with NDE, who said she saw her mom who passed away years back and her mom said it wasn't her time, she should go back. You can say it's her own version of the light, but the same woman described in detail what her sisters were doing two states away, when she was dying inside the OR.

Who knows what's real and what' not? I'm glad you saw your dad :)

I believe that God gives us dreams to give us peace of where our loved ones are....I have had something similar where I went there were a lot of children playing and happy....and adults also......since my son passed away I have had dreams that seems so real that I felt I was with him...He too looked so young and we walked in beautiful green gardens...So I would just accept the dream as God letting you know that your dad is happy and okay now and out of pain..Love to you..Sandi

i had a dream many years ago after losing a child i flew way up high into the sky and through the clouds where i came upon a beautiful place that was filled with children about 3 -4 years of age they wore white robes and all were standing around they looked happy and content when i awoke i felt the most lovely feeling of happiness i had ever experienced i believe i caught a glimpse of heaven where all the children go.

That "white" is something I saw in a vision two months ago which I will explain in my own post. John Edward calls it "the white light of God's comfort and mercy". I happened to read that paragraph in his book on praying the rosary the day AFTER this vision (and it was NOT a dream) and recognized the description.

I believe you are half way into the spirit realm while you dream...my husband and I discuss this alot he feels like he goes into the future and what not. Its quite possible it was heaven and your dad was visiting you and communicating. I lost my mom a month ago to lung cancer. She was 57 I feel your pain. I can't wait to see her in one of my dreams. Not sure if it happened yet and I just can't remember but I hope I will. <3

I totally believe in the dreams we have, I have had some really incredible ones that were really visions. Also i have learned about Targeted Dreaming, where you can have some control and recall of your dreams. I hope you dream again about your dad, and leave a pen and paper by your bed so you can write it down. G-

I have heard that lost loved ones visit you in your dreams and I do believe this because I have dreams about my mom all the time. Most of the dreams are wonderful and some just plain strange. I believe it is my mom visiting me and maybe trying to tell me something. As for your dad...he must have been visiting you and maybe the playing with the children is his way of telling you he wished he had played more and been a little bit more free to have fun.?? As for him looking young...I have also heard that when they die they are well again and look like they did when they were happiest in their life. My mom always looks the same in my dreams...she is beautiful and young.

Many years ago, about 25 or so, I went to Heaven in a dream, and while I started out inside a big white house I ended up in a big beautiful pasture like setting with flowers and people walking around and I could fly, it as wonderful, but the thing that was the most significant about it, and the reason I think it was really a visit to Heaven as opposed to just a dream, was that while I was there, I had an absolute absence of anxiety in my stomach, I was completely, utterly at peace, a level of peace that I didn't even know existed until I felt it. I realized then that we are always anxious here, sleeping and waking, and a person, I think it was Jesus, told me that this is the dream and that when we wake up we are there. I hope it's true. It was a long time ago and I haven't been back, but I hope I get to go again someday.

I've heard tat when you have a dream of your loved one who passed and its only you and that person and no one else, its a visitation that they're having with you.

I believe that GOD gave this dream to you to let you know that all is okay. A lot of people think this is it and when we go, we're gone. NOT TRUE. I've had spiritual experiences and, when you do, there is no way you can EVER forget it, a spiritual experience from GOD is like GLUE, it doesn't ever leave you. GOD has special ways to help comfort us during our turmoils, loneliness, emptiness and tears. My mom, which is my g/son's grandmother, well he had a dream and was so bitter when she passed, they were very close, it was only him and her in the dream and it was a visitation, she told him Believe in Jesus and then he woke up. He now had gone back to church which he seemed to have given up and you can see he has greater faith than ever before. This is not the END, maybe here on earth, but we really NEVER EVER DIE. it's like we graduate to a more spiritual way of life. we will all be together when it's our turn, you'll see, and we will be together FOREVER and that will be in ETERNITY. tc and May God Bless You through your loss and give you the comfort which is so much needed.

I had had kidney surgery in 82. Several days later I believe I went to a place which I would insider Heaven..I arrived, I heard children playing, I saw women laughing and talking...I heard a wreck in a distance, when I asked shouldn't someone go see..The ladies just smiled and said no one gets hurt here...I was so tired I saw these Huge wooden doors...I went through and the room was all crystal. In the middle of the room was a Crystal Grand Piano, I laid down by it...above my head was a swirling dome...I head a voice say if I waned to go back I had to throw a crystal like ball up the dome...I had to go back for my children,,,I picked it up and next thing I felt myself go back into myself in the hospital room...

The other was my first visit from Ken, we were walking together...he was young, healthy and happy, smiling..we didn't talk but communicated...He was so happy...

Hi everyone; i just joined because i was researching about dreams of visiting heaven; i had a a very vivid dream last night; at first it was a chaos from an earthquake that the land is breaking; then suddenly a stairway to heaven appeared above the sky with a very bright light coming through; and Jesus came down to save people including me and my family; even my father who passed away 6 mos ago; we all get to a place where I saw a very huge door going through a church; then my father told me to go straight; i did; we all did; my family behindi me and many people i don't know; as I approached the altar; I saw a very tall man with a young face; he is the guardian of the church and the care taker of the altar; I told him "wowww" as I was amazed how huge he is as a man; reaching the ceiling; and he smiled to me full understanding about my childlike surprising look. My father fix something in the floor to put the wire for the projector as everyone gets into their seats and watch something; the altar has no image; but was very clean and has a podium for speech; later on we got inside another door at the side of the altar; that is the entrance to vast image of heaven; my family stays close at my back; and some people are already guided to walk in the flowing deep water; everyone gets to walk on water; i was afraid at first but my uncle told me to think of Jesus; and i was able to freely walk on water; there were singing angels; singing water; singing water fall, everything; i can't imagine where the songs are coming from aside from the residents of heaven; i was amaze; and someone has said to pray the Lord's prayer; i was being taught to sing with the crowd; i heard my voice and it was funny; but one of the heaven residents told me my voice was just right to match the crowd to make the melody perfect; and my voice resembles my name and my gift in heaven, everyone was busy; i asked them where my family would be; i wanted to see them; and they told me; they are all here but you all have different trainings and gifts here, but you will all eventually gets to meet here. Everyone was happy and waiting for Jesus to show up everytime a vast light comes up; cheering with songs of praises; praises that are not in english; residents are in different nationalities but we all get to understand everyone; i feel so relieved; young and satisfied; some people has to go back they said; i was not asked to go back yet; but i picked up a yello post it paper that tells me these are the things that Jesus has paid for me; it was a long list but the first one is an accident that i was spared off; then a family member woke me up; then i said I just went to heaven; i know i just went to heaven; it was not just a dream; it was God telling me His message that heaven is real and my father is there busy to learn many things; as i was thinking of Jesus the Prince of Peace that night till i fall asleep.

A few nights ago I had a dream of walking into this little house. I don't remember what it looked like. Just remember being in the door way of it. Sometimes in Dreams you just know things (at least I do)... I knew it was a small home. My best friends mom welcomed me inside (she passed a couple months ago) she handed me a blanket. This blanket was one I cherished as a child but lost growing up. She walked behind me grabbed the blanket and helped throw it over my shoulders. She didn't say one word to me. The second that blanket hit my shoulders I left her and went into another place. I was holding onto something(I don't remember) and looked around. There were several men surrounding me. They were all in black suites. They were beautiful. I didn't catch it at first but for a second I glanced down and we were flying. I couldn't see what was under us or what we were flying over.... Just white..... Like clouds. I looked back at the men and felt this complete feeling of intense love. Like nothing ever before felt. It was amazing. Amazing enough for me to look this up and share it. I don't go to church and I don't even like the Bible. I just know that this wasn't just a dream. It was real. There's got to be something else out there. Another relm or something. IDK. When I woke I felt healthier. Weird right? I can't even put into words the feeling I had. It was like sheer love in its purest form.

I strongly believe in Visitation Dreams and or dreaming that you were in heaven with a loved one. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. My best friend got killed in a car accident on 8/18/06. I was always having dreams she was still alive and we'd be hanging out or talking on the phone... but the last dream I had was completely different. That night, I was at a friends house and I won't lie, I was drinking.. ALOT. I ended up blacking out. Next thing I knew I was in bright light.. nothing around me and Madison(my best friend) appears beside of me. She looked so peaceful, so beautiful, and she did not have any of the cuts and injuries she received from the accident. I was begging her to let me stay with her and she kept telling me it was not my time yet and that she wanted me to stay on Earth. She disappeared and I woke up screaming because I wanted to stay where ever I was with her. A friend that was still awake started freaking out because he did not know what just happened, why I suddenly woke up and started crying. After that, I have not had anymore dreams with Maddie. I know she's watching over me. I would love to see her again in a dream though!
