Thanks for sharing. My husband looks at it differently as well. He is not as troubled and does not feel guilty as I do. Although he wishes he would have known more in order to stop the abuse. He just believes our daughters need more time to mature and that it might take a decade or more. In the meantime, I'm sad to think that so much time will be lost or may never be so. I'm just trying to take what I get and make the most of it. I sometimes feel that I don't really know my daughters anymore. It's not the way we raised them and they have rejected so much of what we taught them. They are critical of old friends and the lifestyles they have chosen......married with children instead of seeking a career. They are forward thinking, progressives and have jumped on that band wagon of feminism. I feel that they look down at me because I chose to be a wife and mother (although I am working in my field now) and they have used the word "misongyny" in reference to their dad which couldn't be further from the truth. They are lashing out and hurting. I just hope that they can center themselves before going overboard.
