It is often undiagnosed due to a lack of a universally agreed definition and difficulties in diagnosis, particularly when the condition is considered "mild."
I married my husband 8 years ago.
I have been so ill. His warranty expired with me as soon as we were married for a year.
So between that and just living his whole life with a blocked heart valve he is the kindest person I know.
I have tried to get him into doc's for physical for 2 years. He said his EKG was at 45 last time he went and now it is 30.
I am not sure what are normal readings. My mother in law was told when my husband was an infant he was probably going to need a pacemaker in his 50's. He turns 50 this September. Pretty accurate.
I know he has to wait for a referral to be okay'd for specialist. But shouldn't this be a priority and get him in soon?
He has been on vacation for a week and goes back Tuesday.
Am I over reacting? Or should I have him call and ask for the phone no. to specialist to rush per the EKG?

Well - assuming that the numbers he quoted are actually his EF - and that he is currently at an EF of 30 - he is at risk .
I remember when the doctor thought my EF was at 30 he told me I could die any minute and he wanted to insert a defibrollator into my chest.
I guess you should do something to get him active.
