Heart Failure Support Group
Heart failure is a condition that can result from any structural or functional cardiac disorder that impairs the ability of the heart to fill with or pump a sufficient amount of blood throughout the body. It is often undiagnosed due to a lack of a universally agreed definition and difficulties in diagnosis, particularly when the condition is considered "mild."
Everyone, including "healthy" people has irregular heart beats periodically. Additionally, there are many arrhythmias (fancy way of saying irregular heart beats) that are benign and nothing to worry about. as far as what they told you, I'm not sure. 1500 sounds to me like the total count of extra beats, which in the grand scheme sounds like a lot but you have 86,400/day that becomes less impressive. I'm guessing 1500 is a threshold of some sort they use on the specific arrhythmia you had. Ask you Dr to clarify for you.
