Yep. And quess what? We are still here. No fuse ever lit under me although I could swear I could hear the distinctive fizz as the fuse grew shorter. To a person whom I am so happy to call friends, we went through the same emotion and more I might add. But to a person we seem to doing just fine. We are over the shock and the denial and well on our way to acceptance all in our own time method and manner. But there has been three things that have tied us together for ever, the unconditional love we have and show, the heartfelt knowledge of what the other has gone through and is facing, and a new found spiritual contact with God, maybe not all new found but definitely enhanced to the nth degree. If you knew me 3 months ago you would never bet that you would here those words out of my mouth. But Voila he works in the most puzzling ways to me but I can see that now and am starting to get the message slowly but surely. So you go and feel the exact way you are right now. It will allow the new you to never forget the way you feel now when you grow past the feelings you have now. Wow that was a tongue twister eh? I hope like us you will get over the initial "Deer in the Headlights" feeling and grow to like the new you and recognize amd embrace what you have become. I looked at it like" Shit I have another Chance here, don't blow this one Joe. Please keep throwing those posts out to us. I found the more I shared the less sick I thought I was. Now hell I am sitting here advising you on exactly how I felt just a few short months ago, and I am a really quick study, but a real slow changer. DS has helped me find a semblence of Balance.
