Whether it be through walking, jogging, cycling etc...

For me I like to walk at a decent pace for 1h 30mins straight every morning I get up

I met with a heart failure specialist and the first question he asked was, "What do you want?" My answer: I want to NOT need a wheelchair and oxygen. A few days later, he performed a pacemaker optimization on me. With the help of a sonographer and device clinic nurse he stated he was able to raise my LV ejection fraction by 25%. My exercise routine?: 4 miles on a treadmill @ 3.8 mph, then an additional 2 to 4 miles on an indoor walking track at a 15 min/mile pace. --- EVERY DAY!! It appears after approx 30 mins the endorphins kick in, and I can put in a full 2 hours walking. Pulse averages around 110. BP hangs around 110/65. Four years ago, I weighed 245 --- this AM, the scale read 175. So, for me, I've GOT to continue. BTW: Read Charles Siebert's article entitled "Heal Thyself!" published sometime last year or so in the "Men's Journal" mag.

BTW: Concerning my above stated exercise routine.
1. Cardiologist has not commented.
2. E.P. stated: "Anything more than 30 min/day has no effect."
3. Heart Failure Specialist/ Cardiologist says, "Knock yourself out!
Do what you can! Remember, the dead don't move,so keep moving!"
