There is an interesting article linking Heart Failure and Hypothyroidism especially with pituitary problems causing low thyroid, "Central Hypothyroidism" a problem of the pituitary that is often undetectable by the standard TSH testing:

The interesting thing to me was how the results of the echo improved after treatment supplementing the thyroid.

I have hypothyroidism and have recently been diagnosed with small vessel disease. My mother died of congestive heart failure at age 64. I am 46 and now doing heart treatments because I have constant chest pains. I am hoping and praying I don't go down the heart failure road.

Thank you for your article. I will bring it up to my cardiologist.
