Has anyone had an elevated sed rate and is this normal with CHF?I was told mine was up but never was told why.

In other words a reaction of your immunity system. If you suffer any rheumatic or Cardio Vascular disease, it is normal to have inflammation.
So depending of the reason for your CHF, it can be related to it.

I believe the sed rate is a measure of the clotting of the blood.
It is important for blood clots and many other problems.
