canceled my stress test

Has this happened to anyone else ?The did and EKG and did my B P and said you have to go to the hospital to have it done.

I don't see the value of having a stress test. Did you have an echocardiogram? That is the test that really shows where you're at. I read an interesting article that I would like to discuss and posted it as a new topic, if you wouldn't mind reading it and giving your opinion.

Jami ~ Your post is a bit unclear, but I think you are saying they cancelled your stress test due to an EKG and want you to have it done at the hospital. Most likely just a safety precaution. And yes I have had a number of tests that they wound up sending me to a higher level facility to complete. Only worry after they have the results, not before. It usually winds up being just a precaution.

Fern ~ Actually a stress test and an echo (echocardiogram) are two different animals and check different aspects of the heart. No single heart test gives a complete picture of how the heart is performing. An Echo is primarily a plumbing check. A stress test is primarily electrical.

Had the stress test and nothing has changed since last one.I believe all is well and doctor states whatever you are doing keep it up.
