Bad pill

They put me on zocor and boy after 3 days was I sick .I gained 7 pounds and looked 5 month pregnant.I stopped taking it and lost 3 pounds in one day .Did this happen to anyone else??

zocor - the statin does not have weight gain as a standard side effect.

many drugs do.

if you take grapefruit juice - it can cause the zocor to be much stronger and cause excessive side effects. If so talk to your doctor.

I would have to suggest you contact your doctor - as the use of the zocor may have affected you kidneys and caused the backup - essentially causing some sort of a heart failure issue for you.

Apparantly discontinuing it is helping you.

Jami46 You know over the years and adding this drug and taking away that drug as doctors often do. I have foundthat my reaction to different drugs is terrible. My latest allergy lately was to Calcium of all things. I was sick for three months before I told my doctor that something wasn't right. He said to me There was a chance that it might bother me. What he didn't say was there might be a chance this will bother you. He told me after the fact. Don't punish yourself any longer than you have to. If you have a reaction to a drug even as simple as calcium tell your doctor at the first sign. You never know what drug will do what.
