I am 36 years About a week into 2018 I was coughing and felt tired throat hurt, achey etc.. I went to an urgent care clinic where they diagnosed bronchitis and gave me theraflu b.c of all the cases of the flu going around... I took the antibiotic for 4 days and felt worse, was waking up out of breath and short of breath walking my small dog a block or 2.. went back to the urgent care where my blood pressure was high, Dr urged me to go to ER.. expecting this to be an over abundance of caution i was shocked when i was sent to the ICU 45 mins after entering the ER... with an ejection fraction of 20-25.. I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and sent for an angiogram.. arteries were clear but had a calcified clot in the heart.. mri and every other test confirmed congestive heart failure likely from a virus.. was prescribed lasix, coreg, spiralactone, entresto and after 2 days released.. 2nd night back had bad pain in the rt side of my chest and back.. called the cardiologist, who told me to go to ER... while in ER confirmed it was a pulmonary embolism and while waiting for another test got a burning sensation in both legs followed by intense pain and numbness from unable to move from waist down... after ruling out a stroke it was ruled a bilateral DVT and had to have emergency surgery on both legs... had to be intubated for 18 hours which having never had surgery was the worst time of my life... healed in the icu for almost 2 weeks left the hospital with all the same meds as the first time but this time also with the blood thinner xaralto and lower doses until my lungs healed..

They have since increased the entresto and coreg doses, I have lost 40 lbs since the initial visit to the ER.. and have been eating almost no sodium… I am very interested in hearing if anyone has any tips on anything concerning this and how to get my ejection fraction increased ASAP, if possible before they decide in beginning of April whether to permanently add and ICD
