My nurse came to ck my vitals the other day. I still get those services, since my release from the hospital.

She said besides my fluid retention, that she was also concerned because i'm always tired.

Does anyone else have fatigue often? Is that what i can expect? I'm not on any new medicine, as i have not been to the cardiologist yet.

Increased fatigue is an indication your CHF is worsening, just like fluid retention. This is one of the symptoms that manifests with CHF. Some degree of fatigue is the new normal, you have to figure out what level is normal for you.

Well yes, with my congestive heart failure I was very weak feeling but more of that I would tire faster. I too had a navigational nurse come to my home afer I was discharged from the hopital. I actually ended back in the hospital RIGHT after she left my house. She kept asking me if I felt ok, I kept saying yes, but we were sitting. She said she couldn't hear my heart for my top number on my blood pressure. Then after she left, I stood up and past out. My blood pressure was 70/30 and I woke up in the emergency UPSIDE down. My mom said I looked like uncle fester.....So because of my heart failure, I retained 30 lbs of fluid, and they had me on an insane amount of diuretics, and it caused my blood pressure to drop. They had to lower my diuretics. I have been ok since, but have days I can sleep all day and others with energy.

Thank you! I am new to this, so maybe finding my "new normal" is what i need to see.

I try to move around and get exercise during the day, even with severe back pain, and arthritis in knees and hips. I'm challenged, but i will get thru this!!

Since that post i was retaining fluid, i lost 3.5 pounds, increased my fluids, and i'ts alot better!
