GOOD LUCK HILDA!!! HUBBY GOT HIS DEFIB LAST SEPT AND IT HAS LET HIM RELAX SOME. HE COULD FEEL IT WORK, PACE WISE, AT FIRST BUT FEELS NOTHING NOW. I THINK IT WILL BE A GREAT HELP FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND! HUGS, SUSIE

In may it will be nineteen years since my first ICD and like everyone says it is a extra sense of protection. Hope you had a chance to check out the web site I sent icdsupportgroup.org .

Going on 3 years with mine, piece of cake to implant and easy to interrogate...still know it's there but it makes a world of difference...you won't need luck you've got an ICD. Take care...

Good On Ya Hilda. Hope all is well. It looks like that is in store for me a short distance down the road. Let me know what the jolt feels like when it is called for. I could imagine my reactions when it happens in public. If it is going to be a spectacle, than I want to make sure the show is worth it. I am interested, I have talked a bit with Kevk but haven't really gone into yet. What actuaklly can affect it's operation. Like do you need to make your cell phone calls brief. Microwave cooking etc. I am sure there are some rediculous precautions that would leave me in stitches, given my limited imagination

Hey, that is so good to hear. I think it will be a great help to you. I will be praying for you Tuesday morning during your procedure. If my EF had not improved I definitely would have been asking my doctor about getting an ICD.

It;s Wednesday. Well, How did it go? I want to know everything. If I am going to go through it I want to be able to hand the doc's the instruments as they proceed, kind of thing. Not really just am real curious.
