Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. depression after a HA. My doc gave me Ativan to be used "as needed".
It is great for controlling anxiety and panic attacks but you have to discipline yourself not to use too often or you have to increase the dose.
Dont be afraid to see your family doc or even a psychiatrist about the
anxiety. Cardiologist vary widely in their ability to treat the psychological aspects. It took me 18 months to 2 years to really calm down about having the HA. I was sensitive to every feeling near my chest which just increases anxiety. It takes the mind much longer to heal than the heart. I encourage you to seek treatment for the mental side also. I can tell you that it will get better. Mine was in 2008 and its still in the back of my mind, but doesnt run my life like it did years ago.
A 35% blockage isnt bad. I have a 60 % blockage in an artery on the right side of my heart and they still dont recommend stents for it.I have 2 from the HA .
