Heart Attack Support Group
Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. It occurs when the blood supply to a part of the heart is interrupted, causing death and scarring of the local heart tissue.
I think we all have to find our own magic answer to this troubling question. What works for one etc.
I'll share how I coped after the infamous episode. I vowed to myself not to feel sorry or dwell on my situation and overcome whatever obstacles I encountered. After all I had just survived the impossible and frankly after open heart I knew there was nothing the surgeon didn't know about my condition. I had been overhauled and had a new lease on life and intended to make the most of it.
Importantly too, during my 5 weeks incarceration I saw the fear, pain, and helplessness in my loved ones eyes and knew they deserved me to focus on the positive aspects and move forward.
What you are experiencing is very common in heart patients, especially those of us who have enjoyed heart attacks it would appear.
