Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. It occurs when the blood supply to a part of the heart is interrupted, causing death and scarring of the local heart tissue.

question?

my husband felt kind of weird tonight.

1. his stomach and going up his left side was hurting/aching
2.shortness of breath
3. anxiety

a little while after all this happened he started to have minor chest pain.

now he is in bed and wont go to ER.

what is everyone thoughts ....

Go to the ER ! Much better safe than sorry. I waited about 3 hours while I was having a heart attack because I thought it was a gas bubble from drinking my Gatorade too fast. It cost me 25 % of my
left ventricle..quicker treatment and I would have no heart damage.

By the way,you're heart is much closer to your stomach than you probably think. I thought it was under the left pec muscle , but its more
in the center of your chest, just below the sternum..I was also faked out by the location of the pain. That's why a lot of people mistake a heart attack for indigestion.

So now your not replying! I waited 2 hrs; lost another 1&1/2 hrs. and it was 4 hrs + before the first first stent and another 1/2 hr for the second in the Left artery. Like Bon Temps I lost the motion of the front half to the bottom of my heart. Now I have ischemia; cardiomyopathy, CHF; and shortness of breath for the rest of my life. I was within approx. 7-10 mins from death from the severe heart attack. Thought it was a pulled muscle in my neck; then proceeded to my chest. Symptoms are different for some and some have none.
