Hey Suzanne! Cool! Itm is an ancient Pagan festival that celebrates the shortest day and the longest night. It is a part of the modern Pagan Wheel Of The Year. There are 8 Sabbats. Uule/Winter Solstice is December 21st. Imbolc is February 2 and a celebration of the returning of the light and the hope of spring. Ostara is the Spring Equinox and is March 21. Beltane is May 1 and is a fertility festival. Litha or Summer Solstice is on June 21 and celebrates longest and shortest night. Lughnasadh is August 1 and is the first of the three harvest festival. Mabon is the fall equinox and is also knowh as The Witch's Thanksgiving. And Samhain is October 31 and is the last harvest festival.

Suzanne, we are everywhere. What path do you follow? I am ecclectic. Not totally Dianic, but definetely give The Goddess precedence. 90% of my worship is directed to Her. I .am drawn to Divine Mothers Of Compassion. I have reclaimed Mother Mary as Goddess. I pray to Kuan Yin and Mary often. I am also devoted to Brigid and Lugh.

Girl, you are a prime example of the American Tradition of The Great Melting Pot! It's quite odd that in a country that takes pride in being so very diverse, there is so much bigotry and discrimination!
