being male I will just give you the professional opinion of those of us who are not medical professionals....call doctor and ask her these questions your posing here....none of us is qualified to give you the really best answer for you...your doctor should be the go to for that kind of stuff...it is medication and we are not doctors or pharmacists....so please call the doc....just my $0.02

but i asked a few pharmacists and they said it really depends on the person... and if i had any symptoms to call the doctor.
I'm just curious to see how people who've taken it responded to it.

Yaz does seem to have some publicity link to pulmonary embolism ( blood clot in the lung) firstly and this is only my basic understanding so I could be wrong but the medication its self is not the problem it's the coating of the table, the coating mostly dissolves but it can have a fine powdery residue which can cause clots. Many tablets use the same coating and a small number of all medication types have the same problem, but I believe Yaz get the publicity due to the age of the people being effected.
But Bill is correct talk to your doctor and maybe ask about other options eg, injections ( last 3 months) or implants chip. If you are concerned of worried talk or search until you find piece of mind

I took it and did not like how it made me nauseous in the beginning. It also caused my breasts to get bigger and very tender. I did not want my husband touching them or I could not lay on them. The pill also made my butt bigger too. I was very worried about these strange effects because these changes were unnatural. Even though I am not crazy about the condom, I prefer the condom over the pill. I just cannot deal with the breast.

I would not have taken it. I have had some negative effects from birth control in the past. I get that you're not ready for children at this point, but when you do do the research as well as talk to your Dr. Do you really want anymore toxins in your body? We have plenty in just the air we breathe.

Continue to research & go the healthiest route. I was where you are some years ago. I took the other route. I got off of them & I felt a difference within a few weeks. I was back to feeling normal.

all birth control pills can increase your chance of a PE. You shouldn't smoke at all, or think about other things after the age of 35 also.

I guess I should say, I take it and I am 45 and I have never smoked. I havn't had any issue... I am an RN too.
