Hello, I am married to a lovely man who is dying of Alzheimers in a Home. One day I would love to have a relationship with a man again and ultimately include a sexual relationship with him, only once my husband goes to Sleep. However, I'm terrified of sex and even with my hub, it was painful, its like red-hot pokers inside the vagina! Smear tests are performed under valium because its so agony for me. Is there a local anaesthetic I can squirt into the vagina that will complete anaethetise it when the time comes?

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Vulvadynia can be healed....
if you are willing to change your lifestyle. I suffered for 19 months. I ran to different doctors, none who could help. I finally realized it was systemic. My body was throwing up a red flag. I had to stop ignoring it. I was looking for the magic bullet to cure me. There is none. What I figured out was it was my PH. Not of my blood but of my internal environment. And the excess acid was being stored in the tissues of my Vulva. So I had to alkalize my body. But the supplements in the store didn't do. I tried. No I had to use the whole foods themselves. It wasn't so simple though b/c what alkalizing you may not alkalize me. So as I started to follow these alkalizing diet plans I was still in pain. Then I read in a book about acid and alkalizing that some people can not handle "weak acids". They are found in all fruit, honey, vinegar, whey (dairy), tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, kale, molasses,. I have those all up. I also gave highly acidic food that irritate like coffee, tea, carbonated drinks. I don't drink alcohol but that is a huge no no. I only drink Evian, Jana or Figi water b/c of the PH balance and natural bicarbonates. I juice veggies every morning. I began eating potatoes, green leafy veggies, carrots, salad with olive oil and salt, avacado, cucumbers, nuts, seeds, limited protein w/o sauses or seasoning. I started to heal. I stopped all supplements b/c some had ingredients that irritated me. Slowly the burning and pain dissolved. I did yoga to relax. Now I have added back so foods. But I will never eat processed foods, artificial foods, coffee or carbonated drinks. I know it is alot but it worked. Good health.
But I would mention it to your doctor just to see what he says. He has alot more education then all of us and sometimes, as much as we would like to help, we can't. Keep us posted hun!
Good Luck!
