i know that before i had kids i would get VERY wet. i was always a little, but when i was aroused it was awful. i had a boyfriend nick-name me "puddles" because that is literally how the bed would be, and no, it wasnt squirting.
it doesnt happen so much now that i have had kids though.
i wouldnt worry about it. trust me, as far as most guys are concerned, they would rather have you more wet than not wet enough.
Now that I'm grown...I'm so feaked out by this cause I feel nasty. I can't believe that this is supposed to be normal??
The attitude of your mother and grandmother comes from a very old way of thinking which is sadly more common than we realise. Some people believe it stems back from times when girls were married directly at the instance of their first period, as they were then fertile and could bear children. Therefore discharge and bleeding were seen in sexually active women almost exclusively. In some families, the attitude has simply been passed down.
I would suggest that you have nothing to be worried about and certainly nothing to be ashamed of, but do revisit your GP if you're feeling anxious and explain it to them.
