Healthy Sex Support Group
This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.

I'm sorry about your situation...have you tried talking to him? If he's around your age, he could be going through the old "mid-life crisis". He could be depressed, which will severely impact sex drive. Maybe he's too ashamed to talk about it?
i've tried talking to him but he gets upset because i get emotional and start to cry (its a reaction that I hate) and he shuts down....
he is my age actually he's a year older...
he's not on any meds...but he does say that he needs to go to the dr to get a checkup...something he as well as i avoid...
i guess maybe he could be depressed...but he won't talk to me about it...
really all he does is go to work, come home, fuss, and complain...
Medications, depression, or another medical issue could be the problem. Have you talked with him about it? Communication is key. Try to keep your calm and not cry, since that seems to shut him out. Try writing him a letter and let him know your feelings, concerns, etc. and ask him to write back. I know it sounds silly but sometimes writing things down is easier and keeps you focused on the points you want to get acrossed. Remember, men are highly sensitive to their sexual egos so try really hard not to let him think you are putting him down or finding him lacking in any way. Try to make it more about you and your needs and you may get a little farther. Best of luck hon!
i am going to try writting him a letter...
And please know that you are not alone. Many of us here go through the same thing you are.My husband is the same way at times.Talking doesnt help,Just like your man he gets mad because I cry and feel bad.PLus he hates to open up and talk.A letter may help.I emailed my husband the other day about some other issues I was feeling and it really helped. He felt less threatened if I wasnt in his face talking directly to him..
I know my husband works hard and lots of times he is tired or stressed but doesnt want to burdern me with his problems...Good luck honey..Let us know what happens and if you need to talk I am always around.
we've been together 5 years, living together 3 years...i still fantasize about being with him...when we're together it's amazing...i love it and i can't get enough...but this is really hard....i miss that intimacy sooo much...it just makes me feel worse than i already do....
