My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. Because of the diagnosis I received of infertility, we have struggled with our sex life. Just after getting married, we decided to pursue the finding of a surrogate through the BDSM lifestyle. This has proven to be extremely difficult as the individuals we have found have either not fit, or, as with the one currently living with us, does not really meet our needs. As his wife, I know it is my right and responsibility to have sex with my husband, but I know that with the person who lives with us now, she is considered a "baby girl" and I struggle with my security in our relationship. Tonight he told me that maybe we should just agree to never have sex again... he would have sex with other people and we would just continue as it has been. I don't want to do that, but I don't know how to proceed with making things better. I believe he loves me, but I also know that I am not the most attractive person and I think he settled for me.
We originally agreed to try to have a child through this route for a total of 5 years. We are halfway through... the question is "is it worth the stress on our relationship" or should we just go back to just us and see if there is any possibility of getting pregnant naturally. With only a 2% chance, I am having difficulty believing that is possible. Could that be the issue? Is that what is causing me to NOT get pregnant?
Any ideas of what to do?

Your responsibility to have sex with hubby?
hhmm the 1800's are long gone.. I haven't heard it put that way in decades... I spose u clean up after him too?
That's fine if u like life that way, but not many couples live like that now.. the hubbys a big boy n can clean up after himself..
having sex with another in same house? it's your life dear,,
Not many ppl would live that way..
It's your life , MY opinion ... would be that he only have sex with you,, stress can cause problems in pregnancy , I never heard it causing 1 not to get prego.. sperm n eggs have one main purpose to meet eachother n grow ect.. potholes in the road dont slow millions of little guys to swim elsewhere .. (meaning stress) .. could be wrong,,
Have u talked to a doctor about why your not pregnant..
Also .. wouldnt it be best to bring a baby into a stable happy home with one mom & a dad? Will the 3 of you be together 10 yrs from now? thats fine if you're all together as a triple fam 3 adults,, j
Stability helps children in life...
DSL said a lot in a few words her 3rd sentence..
very true..
I would think if someone was going down the road of having a surrogate, there should be counseling involved and discuss how it would all work. And legal counseling as to how it would work.
Is your husband having sex with this other person in order to conceive a baby? What is to stop the person from saying he got her pregnant and slap him with a paternity law suit.
Things change with fertility all the time. I would be talking to other specialists to see what your options are.
Good luck
