Whats something you did to make a relationship happen, something extra ordinary to tilt the scales in your favor. First real GF and I went out one weekend, next weekend she had previusly scheduled a date with a buddy/rival, so I procured a delivery of a dozen red roses and card telling her to have almost as much fun as she did with me immediately prior to the date, her date arrived just as the delivery was made.

Almost 5 years ago I agreed to meet him in person after talking on line and by phone for 7 months, I drove far away from home to meet him and spent a week at the shore with him. A bit risky in many ways but I did my research on him before taking the plunge. Wanted to make sure he wasn't on the FBI most wanted list. lol

I hired a personal chef to teach me how to cook, then brought what I cooked over to my Wife's house. This went on for a year 2-4 times a month.

Um well with the Ex-wife i put up with daily verbal, physical, and emotionnel abuse for 7 years. Went bankrupt twice. Stood by her through her DWI and 2 months of drug abuse and another 20K in medical bills. Took me a total of 18 years so see what a witch she was and divorce her. It was kinda like a BDSM relationship without the fun. Does any of this count ?

Next GF I had I drove 400 miles to see 5 differant times in 2 years and paid for everything. Sent flowers and perfume on EVERY aniversary, birthday, mothersday, and Christmas. Even asked her to marry me. She went back to her husband that beat her, cheated on her, and treated her like shit. Maybe this counts ?

I should take a break from dating, but still looking for miss right:).

I'm kinda like Lostsoul. Done alot of over the top nice, thoughtful, and generous gestures and gift giving. To no avail. No keepers. I'm wondering if doing nothing is the trick.

I picked my last husband up in a gas station. It was really easy, just promised him sex. Was I careful, nope, never have been. We had sex all night and he kept coming back for more. We were together 20 years then I changed and it didn't work any more.
