Yes and I find that to happen in other parts of my life also.

It does to seem to be feast or famine with all aspects of my life too..- I used to be able to handle the juggling (not sexually/romantically - I'm a one person, person) but used to be able to handle work projects that come at me all at once with no problem.. Now it's getting much harder.. I don't know if its age or a stressed mind that make the juggling more difficult these days.

As far as relationships, it does seem that when one person is interested and you start dating, others seem to be dancing around to get attention...Maybe it's some sort of test for us.

not really. not in my case at least. i rarely find that people are very attracted to me in general, so general i have only had one or maybe 2 people after me at a time.

I've spent some time thinking about this. I think people are territorial, and seek clues from others of the same sex as to who is "desirable"... so when you HAVE an SO, that means someone thinks you are desirable, and others follow suit. When you don't, and there are no real prospects, I think the others see that as you being undesirable.

If you are a man, they say to go to the bar with a "wing woman" and the other women are sure to notice you.

i guess there is just something in the way i look? even when i was in grade school i had kids tell me they were afraid to be friends with me, because i looked like a brat. as i got older, it turned into people (especially women) telling me that i just LOOK like a bitch. its all so puzzling to me, because i am a very open and nice person. I am always smiling, even when i dont feel like it. I always tell people hello and go out of my way to be nice. yet...here it remains. even my husbands family admits that they didnt like me. when they met me they thought i was a know-it-all that intentionally got pregnant to trap my husband since he was older. Now that the years have passed they know thats not true and i am very close with them. But people's first judgement of me is not good. (shrugs)

hmmmm..... des. I can't speak for men, but I suspect the women are jealous. I find that women often feel the need to bring down a woman more attractive than they. With you being a model level good looking woman I think a large majority of the women are going to be looking for a way to "bring you down to their level" at least in their mind.

Sadly, when I was younger, I wouldn't have looked at you twice. The first look would have told me that you were way out of my league.

I found out much later that some of the women that I disregarded that way were interested. Got a few lost opportunities there.

Maybe that is what is going on with the men?

I get noticed, but it is alot more about what I do, than how I look. My weird bike, my lovely dog... my lovely dog in my weird dog bike trailer... juggling clubs sticking out of my back bicycle baskets... stuff like that.

I think when people are happy in a relationship, they do exude a confidence that others must find attractive. We want to be part of other people's happiness. When people are alone and looking, the vibe has to be different; something about that vibe just doesn't draw people in the same way.
