This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.
Tough times, I think I went months without, ugh.
so thankful for a girlfriend !
I wish you the best
But please don't lower your standards. Because what you're doing is possibility setting up someone to be hurt when you find someone more to your liking. If you only want casual sex, then be honest.
At least then all the cards are on the table. No surprises.

Eventually the real person will come out and a person cannot pretend to be someone or something they are not. Time tells all. I say be who you are and hold your head up high and be proud of who you are.
Whatever you do I hope you are happy! :)
Do you mean just take anyone?
Never judge a book by its cover!
Some of the best lovers I have ever had were not the first choices in physical appearance! I am not saying that to be mean, but any kind of relationship is a trade off of what you want. Even a purely sexual relationship is a trade of this service for that one.
As far as having sex just to get laid, I know men do this all the time (and many women too). But I would advise against going to bed with someone you really don't even like or respect. The whole point of having sex is to feel good, and if you despise the person (and yourself) as soon as the orgasm is past, can hardly wait to get rid of the person--well that leads to feeling REALLY BAD.
Had a friend in Philly who once commented, "In porn from the 1970's people actually pretended to LIKE each other before they had sex!" Well as someone who was sexually active during the 70's, I can testify that usually we DID like each other! It was fun and healthy. Very few bum trips.
It happened to me. After 2002, I focused less on a woman's physical attributes and focused on the woman's personality (were they a calming influence or were they usually wanting to 'start something'?, were they usually happy or miserable or complaining, were they optimistic or cynical) Doing that made for a better foundation going into relationship and I found the one I love now back in 2010.
Walt Disney didn't do any of us any favours. Pretty does not always equal nice. Men or women.
Just sayin'
