Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.
You have to find someone you really trust and are comfortable with in order for it to benefit you. And if you are going just to get mediciation then will see a psychiarist and they won't really help you deal with problems just mask over it with drugs. A psychologist(SP)can't prescribe drugs and is there to help you. Can work together with both kinds of doctors.
RIGHT HERE AT DAILY STRENGTH.
IT'S DONE IN JUST OVER A YEAR WHAT YEARS OF COUNSELING NEVER COULD.
AND SOSS, YOU ARE A GREAT COUNSELOR.LOL.
I don't go to counseling now...but I did for many years, and I really learned a lot about how to properly channel the anger and hatred that I felt toward my childhood.
For some people, counseling just doesn't work. For some, it is literally a life saver.
I do agree with you though, that nowadays, I get all of my "counseling" right here on DS.
I also used to see a counselor for my PTSD, but the damn veterans hospital is too far. So now i just go to my gf :) who's very understanding and supportive.
if daily strength has helped you whit any issues you may have thats wonderfull,i had counseling for years and it help me ten fold, dont know what id have done whit out it,once you talk about and deal whit the shit in your life it dont matter how you do it,,its once you do it
The important thing is to get a Counselor that you really connect with.
In my experience the best have been the 'amateur' volunteers who spare just an evening a week to help others - at least with them you know they're not in it for the money! (I just pay a small donation to the charity to help with their running costs.)
They'e still trained, they're just not doing it as a full time job.
NOPE, didnt help. I agree, DS/HS is my therapy.
Love ya all
