I started dating really soon but in hind site I probably should have taken more time off.
Suddenly losing my marriage made me feel like I was left with a deep void and I felt that I would feel better moving on as quickly as possible, but instead I ended up dating someone who was very controlling and did not allow me be me.
I d say date but don't get too deep. Date different people, beware of people who come on strong as it usually leads to disasters .
If someone tells you they love you in the first month, this is not a good sign. Don't bring men home until you get to know them a little better, as there are a lot of crazy people out there and your home is your safe place and your temple.
Don't discuss your ex with the dates.
Enjoy yourself and have fun!
I am not a confident person anymore and I am finding it is bringing some problems to the table. Right now he is saying he would like to work through these problems with me and help me but I keep pushing him away (my low self esteem). I do see him getting frustrated and short with me. I agree, it is good to hear you are beautiful from the opposite sex. I am giving you my story because I often wonder if I waited too long and now I am set in this super self conscious insecure place? Or maybe I am still bringing old problems to a new relationship? Not sure
I did not go looking for anything, it just happened at that time for some reason or another. I am not sure what your hobbies may or may not be but its a great way to meet new people.
Never even think of Doing. If you love hanging out at churches, go
Join an atheist meet up group Or go to an Asian food store or become a volunteer at your local VA hospital and help the vets.. Go to the hardest art class ever and give it a try if you never painted,
Go to a rock concert if you have never been.
Just step out of the familiar. It can be eye opening.
