Anyhow, I used to think about why I wasn't good enough for my ex...why didn't he try harder...why wasn't I enough for him NOT yo cheat...why isn't our son as important to him as he is to me? etc.
Nowadays, I know I am more than good enough, like you, in the areas that count. I'm a hella good mom, friend, daughter, and I think there's a bit of kick assdom to how I teach middle schoolers. I gave my ex my all, and did the very best I could.
Some people will continuously look for the "grass is greener". Some people want it easy, all the time, no matter what. Some people wouldn't know committment if it slapped them in the face...committment to any relationship, intimate or not.
It is frustrating, in some sense, because finding someone who ALSO strives to be their best, to be honest, to work as hard as they can, who take their committments seriously....is rare nowadays.
@Deuce - I totally agree that those with the most seem to appreciate it the least.
People have their own values and standards. Mine are different then anyone else, and that's okay, I don't have to change, or defend myself, but if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit, and people shouldn't waste time being with someone they think needs to change, or that they feel don't fit. Let them off the hook, don't waste their time.
What do you mean you mean you worked on someone?
A massage therapist?
I can't believe she talked to you about having another boyfriend? That is really weird.
My exhusband is loved by everyone, he is caring, wonderful father, hard worker, good son... What he did to me was completely out of character and there is no way i could stay married to him.
Who knows what happened between them, maybe she is just a bitch..
All i know is that it really does suck when your partner makes you feel like you are not good enough when you try really hard. When this becomes a lifestyle, it is either time for a major change in the relationship or it is time to go. It is difficult and sad.
Perhaps I'm overtly sensitive to this subject after being married to the worst of the worst. Leaving my marriage surely did teach me to appreciate the smallest things and definitely kindness and care in others.
I own my own business and practice in tne alternative medicine arena as a medical intuitive and have earned master status in a healing modality that is derived from a Japanese technique of stress reduction. I work mostly with cancer patients and combat stress/PTSD vets, but do other work in the community and private events.
I do have an old school Wonder Woman Tshirt that I'm not afraid to rock! Lol!
Wonder Woman and She-ra need a come back, just saying.
Wonder Woman T warrants all kinds of "stares". But, I don't care!
Sadly, the youngsters have no clue what it is :/
LOL Too funny!
