No relationship is perfect. Sorry things are so stressful in your life right now. I am also getting over the breakup of my first relationship after my divorce so I feel like it is a double whammy. As with my situation I discovered that I am horribly co-dependent. I always put my exes needs first and mine second. I "lived" for them. This is bad because when it falls apart, you feel horribly alone as your partner was your best friend and lover. I am working on breaking this habit before I try to move on to another relationship. I have been horribly lonely since my breakup with my ex boyfriend. I have started going to the gym, hanging out with friends etc.
If you need a friend I am here for you
It's lonely now, but things will get better. The holidays are a tough time for all of us on our own.
Rest assured that you did the right thing.
Have you looked into meetup groups in your area? That is one way to get out of your place, which is probably full of memories of your ex.
In time you will meet someone new, this time being a better judge of character.
And yes, I would rather feel lonely than alone in a relationship. I really am proud of myself for not allowing someone to use me and disrespect me. I do feel there is someone better for me out there...guess just have to be patient for now!
Thank you all!
