Whether she cheated on you or not, you're broken up so that's all water under the bridge and it no longer matters.
It is hard to say just from that whether she cheated or not.
I'm sorry you are hurting.
And yet, it really helps you grow. I mean if you never experienced it, you'd have a really hard time relating to others.
Time heals the wound of heartbreak. It's a bad one. I don't think you need to do anything (or can do anything). Just part of being human and it sucks. NO way around it. I like to listen to music. There sure is a lot of it about heartbreak so you know you aren't alone.
so its very hard.
and ive taken so many steps backwards since, im using again.. and wouldnt mind an overdose.
Does that mean im gonna kill myself no... but its some scarey thoughts that go through my head.. and sometimes I push it to the limit.
I feel I have nothing at 23. I live in a disfunctional home with my father and girlfriend who constantly fight and scream. which causes me stress/anxiety.
When I lived with her, I felt great.
I dont have a car.. or a job.. I lost all my close friends because I was in such a deep relationship.
I barely talk to people, even though I really want to.
and I wonder why I let myself wake up everyday feeling this shitty/horrible.
When all I do is look forward to going to bed and sleeping. It's scary.. because we all have the instinct to live. But sometimes I wonder if I'm ever happy... at all.
MEH
thanks for the replies.
I know you are hurting and it has been going on for a long time..
Your life is crumbling around, but I don't think it has anything to do with her.
Everything has to do with your drive for the drug. Your gf was in a way a gate that kept you away from it and she probably knew this. I think it is unfair burden to place on a person. We can't do the right thing because there is someone by our side, we have to do the right thing because it comes from within.
You are a good person. Fix it! Get your life back on track.
You have no idea how fast time flies, before you know it you will be my age.
I hope you find the strength to beat this. I'm rooting for you.
You're obviously very sensitive, and that is good, up to a point, but you've got to find a way to "man up" and find some activity that you enjoy, that brings you pleasure, where you can laugh and lose yourself in others and the good time. That's what she's doing. You should be doing the same.
"I barely talk to people, even though I really want to."
I think you've hit upon something there. What's stopping you? Fear of feeling stupid? That's easy, just blurt out the first stupid thing that comes into your head. Do so in an attempt to make people laugh. When somebody laughs, you'll have broken the ice, and started a conversation. Works for me!
I think you're just a little too bound up in yourself. Gotta relax, and let yourself breathe. Yeah, there is anxiety in social situations, meeting new people, but there's also excitement and intellectual stimulation too.
If you're feeling inferior about yourself and your situation, don't talk about yourself. Ask them about themselves, and listen. People generally like to talk about themselves. Again, works for me.
