Your advise is sound and though tough you are absolutely correct. I know this in my mind, just have to get my emotions in control. I get so anxious over this. I forgot to mention she was living with a guy for 4 1/2 month during the divorce and didn't pay rent. She used this guy. He bought her $2,000 WORHT of clothes. He wrote me a letter telling me how decietful and a liar she was. He was madly in love with her. She left him, that's why i got the letter. She told him she was divorce etc many things. He was going to testify for me court but then she rushed back to him. Last thing I heard she put an order of protection against him, claimed he had anger issues. He told me she say i was a dope, and laughed about cashing my temp maintenance chk. he sounded honest but angry, can't say I blame him.
Anyway, you are right on many counts, and the thing about her is she is so cute and very pleasant. A storm could be brewing around her and you would never know. You never know what she is thinking. (Yeah, she hides things well, and that's why I was afraidn to make contact again.)
Your words are true and yes, it is very hard, I going to have to just gut this out, and I guess, after the final degree, it gets to you. I didn't even know she wanted back, until I ask if she could talk. Lot to forgive . I forgot to mention she had a long term affair with her boss. 10 years ago. I think she was cheating again (not sure) , and that I believe was the reason she left. I guess it didn't pan out.
I been warned and rightly so, not to let the one relationship connect with the other. They are distinct, so I am starting to be conscious of that. Thanks so much for your help. Support in these matters really help me. I wear my heart on my sleeve , and need to use my head more. Ths again!
So these feeling do affect my actions towards my girlfriend who I really care for, and before I say I am in an emotional storm, I like to see if I can ride it out. I am hoping I will get stronger as you mentoned. It's something I look forward to. I think as mentioned I can make better decision on everything and not from an emotional weakness. Thanks all for your help, I really aprreciate it. There are times I think I could have done things better in the marriage etc, but friends told me to stop beating myself up. She never gave us a chance to even work those out. She left fast and cold. Most say, because how she left and how happy she left, she probably had another person in the wings. I have to agree with that. That's all history and I need to leave all of this as mentioned in the rear view mirror, and find other things to occupy my mind. At 61 this is tough, but your support has help me so much! Thanks
By not being honest with her, you're leading her on which isn't fair to her. She has a right to know where she stands in this relationship so she can decide for herself what she wants.
