for some unknown reason, I tend to take everything literally when I first hear/read it... then the social filters kick in and I get a translated version.

I usually get a strong mental image before. This one was you up to your knees in a muddy bank in mud caked overalls with a boom box on your shoulder.

A lovely woman walks up, starts to talk and you interrupt her. After a moment of fiddling with the boom box, you switch to cassettes (you remember those?) two that has the song "dream weaver" on it. With that playing, you politely ask her to continue.

cause... you were... you know.. changing your tune?

I love being in a relationship, but at the same time I like being single. I've started seeing someone that is in the same boat. We like each other, but are taking it slow until we figure out what we want, and if a relationship would work for us. I haven't asked for or demanded for anything. All I've asked is that he communicate. Relationships can be a lake of mud, unless you know they're mud and treat accordingly. If you know the lake is mud, you will do your best to get a bridge or something so you know you won't drown :)

I'm getting intimately involved with people, it's just the WRONG KIND of intimacy, intimacy filled with stress, tension and drama. I wish everybody I knew would just relax, lighten the fuck up and laugh. So I try to make them. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes it gets draining for me.

Craving is one thing. Being able to follow through with it is something different. Women know a lot about being emotionally available for a guy. Much more than men towards women. They also are very good at making love. If you can't find these, then it behooves you to look at what is wrong with the man in the mirror, and then make an effort to change. I think you just need to go after what you want, even if you are afraid of failing. Most guys have to do this, even me. I don't think you are an exception. Just trying to help you out, man.

I thought the whole time that I was single that I wanted to be in a relationship.... now that I'm in one, I don't want to be in it, and I hate it... but I think I'm trying to hard to fall for this person (because I want to be in a relationship).
