Why is it tough?

Koolman I think if there is a connection that talking and running out of things to talk about just not happen at least in my experience.

It's been tough for me, because getting the ladies I've been interested in to open up and talk about their feelings in my presence has been like pulling teeth. They don't like me enough, I guess.

Maybe you are attracted to a particular kind of women? Every person i ever dated had no problem talking with me about very deep, emotional, historically significant to them subjects and events.

Yeah, Aronia, vain and self-centered. But they ARE self-maintaining and don't need constant attention, which I suppose appeals to me! The really clingy, possessive types I find suffocating.

Koolman, i have to disagree with you that being vain and self centered makes you " maintain" and not want attention.
It is actually quite the opposite, because most self centered people want attention and it doesnt matter from who. If they do not want your attention all the time, chances are they are using you to pass the time when it is convenient for them and there is nothing better to do.
I think you deserve better.

Self - maintaining, as in financial security?
I know for myself being self supporting that I am not about to give myself away to just any joe-blow that comes along. A guy is going to have to be a match in terms of responsibility and drive before I invest my energy.
