I needed everybody advice I have the hardest time opening up and meeting people to date, I get nevous to the point I would rather advoid one then taking a chance on getting hurt. Doe's anybody have any advice on how I can open up and stop settling for anybody that shows me attention.

Maybe you could join some groups or clubs where you don't focus on DATING people right away but becoming friends and talking about common interests, after you get to know people you may lose the nervousness and actually know who is worthwhile to date.

There's excitement in fear!!! That's the way I look at it. Fear is better than boredom and laziness.

Meetup.com is a great way to meet people who share the same interests as you in a "non-dating" environment (although dating in meetup is discourage people hook up all the time there anyway).

If you're enjoying doing and talking about the same interests, one building block to a successful relationship is already in place! Let's face it, sex and passion comes and goes, but, if get fired up talking about the same things, this is what will keep you going when you're both in your 80s feebly looking over a cup of coffee at each other at the breakfast table.
