Don't necessarily agree with all these. For example I don't think that just because a guy is insecure, that he will cheat. And why is this only talking about men? Does the same not apply to insecure women?

Also, I don't like how it refers to one night stands as a man using a woman. Can't a woman also want a one night stand just as badly? For some reason, it seems that women aren't looked at the same way when they seek purely sexual relationships, only men. Why?

The attitude that seems to be expressed in this article is basically that men are responsible for everything. It reminds me of this conversation I overheard at work where some people were talking about some king who cheated or something and it turned into a conversation about cheating in general. Anyways, this one guy was adamant that "the guy is always responsible, it's just the way things are. If a guy cheats, it's his fault, if a woman cheats, it's the fault of the guys she cheated with." Idk what exactly his rationalization for that was.

Seriously? So even IGNORING attention from other women is taking it too far? What's a guy supposed to do then, stay away from other women altogether?? That's strange, because if a man expects his partner to stay away from other men, he is labelled as domineering.

I do agree that those qualities apply to both men and women, but I think it's an article from a magazine targeting straight women, so that'd be the reason they are just talking about men.

And about the ignoring part, I think it means interaction between a woman that is clearly flirting with the guy and he just ignoring that and keep going like nothing happens instead of stopping the flirting. If I'm dating someone, or if I'm in a relationship and someone is flirting with me I just stop them or walk away... I don't think it means they should just stay away from other women, only from the one that are clearly trying to cross a line.

In the end, it's just an article in a magazine, it is interesting but you shouldn't take it so seriously Hero.

I think this article fits my cheating ex to a T. He always wants to be liked and allows and enjoys sexual flirtation. He would say to me that he had no idea how he always got in tricky situations with women. And he is insecure and ungrateful. He could never see the positive in all the things we did have.

Honestly, I think it would be hard to find a man who disliked or was indifferent to attention from women. Most women get attention from men all the time so it's nothing special to them, but to us it's a major ego boost if a hot woman notices us. This doesn't magically change once get married.

If you don't want us to be insecure and want attention from women, then teach your girls to not be so picky during their high school and college years.

I do know that it takes back-bone, strong moral fortitude, to be a faithful man, especially when a man and woman's relationship is on the skids.
