Had to say it, to join the "I'm irritated with people" post. I'm not referring to any of you people, but this finnicky, nit-picking obsessive/compulsive marketing manager I'm dealing with in editing a video project for the company he works for.
Geez, he got heated because I used a -- instead of a - (when -- was what he wrote in HIS e-mail) in a title-! I can't deal with people like this 24/7; thank God this project is over in two weeks and I go back to free-lancing for other, lower-maintenance clients!

People at work complain about the silliest things. Sometimes I wish I could see people outside of the work environment...the ones that cause the biggest problems are probably the push-overs at home.
I also hate seeing certain things that look absolutely necessary in my workplace.
Looks like some of it is a waste of paper and time!
Get me out in the fresh air and get me exercising, even if it doesn't pay as well...
Or as sheslostc said just an ass.
If this guy comes at me with a monster project like this again, I will politely say "no thank you" but explain that I'll be available if they need me to do something short-form like a commercial that can be knocked out in a day or two. THAT's the kind of work I'm looking for. I don't want to be "owned" (if I want to get paid) like this three weeks straight ever again. They (particularly this finnicky marketing exec) really ran me through the grist-mill.
He's probably divorced, making sizeable alimony payments and is simply looking for someone to dump his troubles onto...
Children cost a fortune to feed and clothe and entertain !
