Need strength for no contact abusive relationship
I was with him for three years, it didn’t start out great. I met him at a hookah bar. I was young, inexperienced, and curious. He was older, seemed mature, exciting. He was persistent on taking me out, I finally agreed. We went to sushi, he bought me too many drinks, I told him I was a virgin and he took me home. He told me he really liked me, and he tried to have sex with me, I was aware of it, I wasn’t drunk but I wasn’t ready to give him my virginity. I should’ve never spoke to him after that night, the red flags all there. A gentleman wouldn’t of done that, but at least I still had my virginity, my peace, my happiness. I tried to break things off with him after that, but his sweet talking, his apologies, the way he makes it sound like I’m the best thing to him, it made me come right back I was weak then. I agree to become his, and that was my worst mistake. The red flags continued, we would argue a lot. He was very jealous, insecure, would accuse me of things. We would argue a lot. But those sweet words, and perfect apologies, and my favorite flowers brought me right back to him. The first time the physical abuse started was at his apartment, I could tell he was under the influence. I was angry, I told him I didn’t want to be with him and this was it. I threatened that I want to be with someone else. He flipped, he raged, he threw me and pulled me off the bed , he punched holes into walls, and broke mirrors, he punched a hole in the wall right next to my face where I was standing as if he wished it was me instead. He called me names. I called the police and he was arrested that night. I told myself and my parents I’d never go back to him. But a week later his sweet words, his apologies, my favorite flowers brought me right back into his arms again. The physical abuse continued, and this time it showed, he put bruises on me, we argued in the car and I wanted to jump out and instead of pulling over he pulled and squeezed my arms violently as I screamed. I left him again for a few days and I came right back to him. A few months later I moved in with him. My second worst mistake. The physical abuse continued and it was more frequent. He didn’t like when I slammed doors when I was mad that was his trigger, also when I brought up leaving him for someone else out of anger. He would pull me and shove me down and prevent me from leaving out the door, He would scream and I would scream for him to stop and to get off of me. I called the police on him a second time and he was arrested again. The bruises were bad I had to cover them up. My mom finally noticed them and was heartbroken when I told her the truth. I moved out of his apartment. He apologized and told me he wouldn’t put his hands on me if I wouldn’t yell at him and threaten to leave him. I moved back in two months later. My third worst mistake. The emotional abuse continued the need to control me and control how he wants me to live continued. I thought I finally had enough when I broke up with him and started dating. I was happy he found out I wanted to hurt him how he hurt me. We didn’t talk for two months, the longest ever with no contact. I broke down and I contacted him. The worst mistake. We have been seeing each other for three weeks and last night he put his hands on me again because I got up to grab my purse and walk out the door, he didn’t like that. So he pulled and shoved me and screamed at me. I screamed and cried and told him to get off me. I left him again and went out to the club and he found out and showed up and tried to pull me out the club but was thrown out. I contacted him and told him I’m done with him for good. But he apologized, said sweet words, and begged. I got into his car tonight and he cried to me and told me he will never hurt me again, I almost believed him until he started accusing me of flirting with guys in the club, even after I denied he started yelling banging his hands on the steering wheel driving erratically, calling me a whore, I got silent like I always do when he verbally assaults me. And then I flipped and I hit and scratched him threw open the door and told him to pull over he opens the door I fall out the car and bust my knee and start screaming he picks me up and throws me back in the car and says I hurt myself he didn’t do anything. I jump back out and he’s calling me a whore and a bitch in front of my neighbors I threaten to call the police and he drives away while I walk home In the dark and break down crying with a bloody swollen knee and shattered heart disgusted with myself that I could ever be so weak. I’m so hurt right now emotionally and physically with my knee. How did I allow this to happen to me when I should’ve listened to everyone that he will never change. I want this to be the last time I ever see him or talk to him again. I need support and I have already asked god to give me strength to never go back to this man.

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

There is always a 'honeymoon' period after the physical abuse so this pattern will continue as long as you allow it to
Get some help sweetie..... This man will end up killing you if you continue as you are ..... He's dangerous and he's out of control
The most dangerous time is when you're leaving..... Keep yourself as safe as possible
Get in touch with domestic abuse centres..... I'll give you a link with helplines and they can give you advise..... They understand these patterns very well
Gentle hug and a blessing......xo

You must cut him out cold turkey. The sooner the better. Cold turkey means deleting him on social media, deleting him from your phone, and blocking his number. Be sure to alert your family or even close friends of what you are about to do. Unfortunately men like this will sometimes stalk and hurt their victims when they attempt to walk out.
Yes, it would seem that you have some issues that draw you to these kinds of men. Be kind to yourself. You wouldn't be the first <3. Right now is a good time to practice self care and stabilize your life. Then, when you are in a good position to do so, and you have built yourself back up, begin inquiring into those issues that lead you back into his arms. This process may be quite painful, but it will be necessary if you are ever going to have a healthy relationship with yourself or a man.
Be kind to yourself. Be firm. Be strong and courageous.
Please, please, please get out and stay away while you still can. We're all in your corner.
Are you attached??? Is that sucking you back in???
In some way are you enjoying all these games??
Stockholm syndrome???
Did you know tortured animals will return to the cage where they are electrocuted if x happens??
I don't know him really, maybe you will be in this relationship for years with him smashing your head into that family picture while your six year old son is watching
And only when your depressed fall out of "love" with him and want freedom will you break free. By which point your children will be abusive and troubled themselves and blame you
I don't know do they have women's refugee where you are
They give out books on the tactics of the abuser and how to break free
Sometimes when I read what you have written it feels like you enjoy threatening to leave him to see his reaction
Is this opinion his perception of you or something you do to get back at him???
