Try to think of it as statistical probability of meeting women with this name more often that any other name and that statistically most relationships turn to shit anyway and that these factors are independent of each other.
Have you looked up the meaning of that certain name? I have also come to find certain traits in some name-carriers that match with their name's meaning. Nomen est omen kind of thing - that Latin saying has an origin with serious background...
I had contact with females with a certain name that were highly identified (obsessed) with power struggles and authority issues. They wanted to rule (with all means). Their name's meaning is about power, too.
Indigenious peoples take a lot of care and time when naming their children. They do think that the soul lives up to the meaning of that name. Okay, this may sound strange to many rational thinking people. To me it makes sense. And, yes, I am careful with certain names, too. I know their meaning by heart in the meantime and watch out.
Maybe looking up the name's meaning makes sense to you if you have not yet.
In other words, you are not being objective to that person, its sort of discriminatory in all reality.
Everyone deserves to be treated equally until they show us to treat them otherwise.
With that being said, I dated a guy with the same name as my ex-husband. Which is also my son's name. It was admittedly weird and, ultimately, the relationship didn't work but it really had nothing to do with his name and more to do with our compatability.
Having certain criteria/standards in dating is human nature. But we should really leave it to major things like them having jobs, or cars, or their own place...whatever our standards are.
Don't allow it to become a self-fulfilling prophecy...you might miss the perfect woman for you if you do!
