Same thing happened with my mom, they met 2 months after they started talking, and moved really fast...this all happened back in july/august, and now he's actually living with us.

I think she moved too fast, but, she seems to be happy, and he seems like a good guy, so I'm hoping it's going to work out in the long run..

I wouldn't call it love. You are very compatible, kindred spirits. I believe love is something that grows and develops. Lust can be immediate.

My thinking is... if its right, it will keep. Don't let the emotions sweep you into insane decisions. Enjoy that crazy rollercoaster feeling of wanting him and missing him and let it be a romantic adventure and all that great stuff... but also don't be ignorant to the fact that just because it might feel good for them moment... doesn't mean its right in the long run. Be prudent, enjoy it for what it is and don't worry about what you call it. Recognize, too, that you are vulnerable after the divorce and sometimes across distance its all that much more easy to get hooked on someone who may or may not be all that they seem to be. Its real easy for someone to carry an air of perfection when you don't have to smell their breath every day. Enjoy the fantasy, believe in fairytales... but keep it real, too.

It worked for me! My situation was exactly like yours - after 20 years of marriage, I came to my senses and realized life was too short to spend it alone (even though I was married). I got out and then after a year, met a man who lived 2000 miles away. I couldn't stand being apart from him, so after only knowing him for 3 months I moved to Ontario. I've been with him for almost 2 years now and it's going GREAT! I have reclaimed my life, and together with my new partner I am experiencing the things I've wanted all along. I don't regret the speed of my move one bit. Like I said... Life is TOO SHORT!

I tend to agree more with Mdens1971. I tried the long term relationship thing...with someone that I had know as a classmate from over ten years ago. Well I made a big move to be with him. Lets just say that I now would never ever make a move like that again. There are just some things about a person that you can never learn over a phone or internet. I will be sure to get to know and see any potential next man in every possible element. I feel that our relationship was only just a small encapsulated and protected version of what reality was. It was just not possible to see how he was with his family, my son, his friends, my friends.....without spending time with him in person.

I will consider everything that all of u have contributed. I'm so gratefull for all of the input. I'm crazy about this man. I told him so and he told me that he feels the same. We will continue to get to know each other. If we are still talking by February, he will come and visit me then. That should be enough time for me to calm down and let reality takes its place. I wouldn't call it insanity...I'd call it hormones!!! But try your best not to let them blind you. I think it is 'lucky' when that kind've thing works out...it takes time to get to really know somebody and it hits hard when you find out they weren't who you (literally) imagined. Sorry to be negative!!

Possible to fall in love so quickly? Yes. And equally possible to fall OUT of love so quickly LOL. Love at first sight? Well, sight, the visual aspect is lust and hormones and amorous infatuation. Real love does a slow burn and develops over time. When they're fat, ugly, mean, fart in front of you but you know there's still some sweetness in there for you, THAT'S love.
