Don't ever say that online, period. Because every single girl says that, you want to stand out and how you do so, is not giving off that vibe. How you get a man, a good man is you show that you don't need one. Once you have mastered that technique you'll attract someone worth while. You attract what you vibe off.
It's true all guys want to sleep with you and that is hookup culture we live in today. Women have stopped saying no in hopes they will get a relationship and in most cases they don't get a relationship out of it or if they do, it's short lived. How you get a man's interest and respect is to say no to hook ups, I expect more, ask questions to see if he fits into your life not the other way around, I expect a real relationship where both are treated fair and loved. Say things like, if I'm single for a long time I'm completely okay with that cause I know who I am and what I want, I don't mind waiting for right guy, I have hobbies, career goals, interests that I hope to share someday with the person. I deserve love, we all do.
Once you GET that, hookup culture really doesn't matter. If you love and respect yourself, don't participate in the hookup culture, set boundaries, rules, and follow them. This protects you in the long run and will make you happy. Guys who are into the hookup culture will always be a waste of time. I promise.
I met my wonderful boyfriend online, we have a good relationship and how I got him (I'm 32, he's 33), and I said no a lot! But I was always stern about my no's but also kind too. I don't need you but if you want to be in my life cool, but I'm a busy lady with a dental program that I have to do well in. No hookups, only quality of a relationship is available. We can be friends to start and see. But it's on my terms, not your terms. I call the shots, because I'm the lady and that's how it works. He had been online dating and met a lot of women with NO goals and that just "wanted" to hookup because that's what the culture says they should do and he turned them down out of disgust. I did the same thing when I met other men that only wanted a hookup, it was always no sorry not interested, next! It is really hard to do it but it's a huge benefit. You will see where you stand and how special you are to that guy and how special he is to you. I've been with my boyfriend about a year now and it was worth being this way, standing up for me, and attracting him and when it happened I could see all the hard work I had to do prior to feeling like this is what I deserve.
There is a vibe a guy gives you when he's ready to settles down, that's why the getting to know you part is so great but once you have sex with them, it ruins the get to know you part and you are submitting to the hooking up culture again. Don't give in. Be different. Be that loving confident force of nature and say goodbye to the hookup culture because that's beneath so many women and men, unless that is what they truly want. Healthy relationships start with a healthy you, desires, wants, and goals. Being healthy starts with a plan. Healthy friendships sure changed my life and helped me find the right guy.
It works! And I hope this helps!
I am remarried to the most perfect guy in the world. I promised myself after my first marriage failed to be careful with whom I shared my body with. My husband and I dated for months and after we both realized it was love before we had sex. We didn't let sex cloud our feelings and the marriage I am in is there for the long haul.
