there’s nothing more lonely than being in a relationship and feeling lonely. Eating your dinner alone in your room. Trying to have conversation with someone who barely listens. I spent s lifetime being a caretaker in my family and being a doormat and in my adult life said enough was enough. Yet here I am feeling like garbage again. I raised my twin sisters, my younger brothers, I stayed home for over a decade to raise my son with special needs and kicked ass at it. Now it is my time to shine so to speak. Im in college, doing well and recently walked past a poster hanging on the school wall for International Honor Society. There was my name. I stood starting st that for what seemed like forever. I never had anything like that was proud of myself. I read the email invitation over and over again. But here I sit sad because all I can think is how much I miss my dad who has passed on 23yrs now. He would have been proud of me. Tried to tell my mom she skipped right over the subject like it was nothing. She does that frequently. No congrats or way to go. It just makes me feel insignificant. I don’t want to tell my partner because it seems like every time I do something good or move forward a bit he fights with me to try and sabotage it. I don’t know I don’t like being a Debbie downer. Guess I just needed to vent for a minute. Thanks to anyone that was willing to listen.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Maybe this man is just not for you. I’d rather be alone than lonely in a relationship. Find some solid friends. Really, a support system of strong, loyal women will fortify you.
I think you deserve a special dinner and a lovely big cake!
I'm really sorry that the people who you'd like to be able to have faith in have let your down
I agree with what others have said.... Give yourself what you need and deserve
If this guy doesn't want you to feel supported and happy are you sure that he's the guy for you?....Some food for thought perhaps?
I'm in the same boat.
Keep this in mind as you have recalled all that you have done to help others. You did it, you made the sacrifices.
There is nothing worse than being in a relationship and feeling alone. Do you have any hobbies? Are you apart of a local church? Do you have that one friend that you can share everything with? The good and the bad.
You have completed a lot of personal tasks throughout your life and that should tell you how strong you are. Maybe it is time to spread your wings and move on to what is going to make you happy. Happiness is a choice and we are responsible for our own happiness.
Choose positive people who will lift you up. Choose people who are in your corner and will support you as you continue to reach the goals you set for yourself in your life, Choose to forgive those who have hurt you or are not as supportive as we wished they would be. Choose to be you, strong and ambitious!
Your dad would be and is proud of you!! Do not ever forget that as he is always in your heart!
Blessing to you!!
