Well here goes my first post. I have been married to my husband for just over nine years. We have been through so so much. Having two beautiful children together aged 6&8. For a long thime I have been looking after everyone & not taking time for myself. I quit my job of 18years late last year taking time to look after my two young children.
I thought this would help me slow down & take some time.
Unfortunatley it hasn't worked. I have become reclusive towards my husband and don't know what to do. I find it hard to communicate with him because he wants me to change to be more open which is something I find very hard to do. As a consequence we are arguing all the time because I have not made any moves to change or help myself.
I am making small changes. Have started practicing in Yoga and that seems to help me relax a lot. I also try to go on bushwalks whenever I can because it has always been great therapy for me. However it doesn't help me when I get home & I still can't communicate with my husband. I am feeling a little lost and would like to know if anyone else is going through something similar or has any advice that would help me.
My husband is loving caring and always there for me. I am pushing him away from me by something a simple as not effectivley communicating.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I think a couple of us wives have been in your same situation. Knowing something is wrong, wanting to say something, but not being able to effectively communicate the details. You are not alone in this uncomfortable and confusing situation. I have found journaling helps me lay out some of my jumbled up thoughts on paper which allows me to see some of the things that need to be said and those things that are better left unsaid too. I pray over what I write in the journal and then take some of the things that really feel important to me back to my husband. It has been an excellent way for me organize my thoughts, release tension, and unleash anger on the paper instead of directed towards my poor unsuspecting husband. This may help you pinpoint exactly what is bothering you, keeping in mind, it may be something you have suppressed or even completely unaware. Don't give up on yourself or your husbands ability to understand.
