The book is well written and researched and for me a real page turner. It's not at all dry and boring and I highly recommend it.

I find in a person I love it when a person can speak intelligently and offer perspective on any subject. I love knowing what others know. I find I don't like talking strong politics with others. I personally only know so much but the state of community is very personal to me.

You mentioned the "markets." Having worked in the investment industry for many years I've always believed that folks should never rely on their financial consultant for information. After all he/she is making money everytime you buy an investment from them, so there is definitely a conflict of interest there.
I've always advocated of educating yourself by reading the financial sections of your newspaper, and other publications on investments. Buyer beware! Not believe everything you hear or even read. Research the information given to you as much as you can.
