Easier said than done...trust is one of the hardest things...cuz you never know the true intentions of the other person...
There is never any guarantee that things will work out the way you want them too and nobody wants to get hurt but rather then focus so much on being afraid of becoming hurt focus more on what you want in relationships as well as other things in life that make you happy.
The more things that you do in life that make you feel good the easier it will be to handle anyone or anything that comes your way that does hurt you. My point is that a lot of people want a loving relationship with someone and there isn't anything wrong with that I just feel a person should have more then just that in life. And when you do meet that someone special don't make them your whole world but rather make them a part of your life and all the things you have in it.
And when you do feel things are not going right share you feelings and communicate. So many people keep their feelings bottled up inside for fear of being hurt so try not to go down that road in any relationship you have. To me it is very important that you know what you want in a relationship and are in touch with your feelings and never settle for anything less then that. Wishing you the very best now and in the future to come:)
It is definitely scary to take the risk of being hurt again, but there is really nothing we can do about it.
If you have a relationships there is always a risk of being hurt. I just try to think that anything that happens, happens for a reason . If a person chooses to hurt me, it is their loss. I will just move on.
Good luck and I hope everything goes well.
And it helps to know what you're trying to achieve, what state of nirvana you're trying to reach, and then be able to reach it just within yourself. Peace. Bliss. Communing with nature. With your own body and soul in the form of physical exercise. Knowing your body's and mind's strengths, and limitations. Know when to push yourself when yourself feels that is required, and knowing when to be sweet and gentle with yourself when you need rest.
Trust in yourself, that, come what may, you'll still be standing at the end of the day. See the light in yourself and you won't rely on others for that light. Then others can drift through your life as they may, and, when they do, welcome them as precious gifts, but you've got to trust in yourself, and some source of love and good karma, independent of human beings, to get you through.
Better to be alone than be miserable with someone who clearly mistreats you or doesn't have your health and well-being at heart.
That'll help you trust, and relax.
