Unfortunately id did not last for me :(
It's a funny story, actually. We've known each other for a long time. Even funnier, he was in the same unit as my ex husband about 9 years ago. His children came to the school I ran on base.
We went on one date about 2 years ago...but he was recovering from his divorce. We've remained friends and were chatting occasionally and connect frequently on FB.
We have a LOT in common. Last fall he invited me to hunt with him..but I was tied up in my work schedule (self employed).
He's upped the ante, so to speak, and I'm just going with it. He's a super solid guy, owns businesses, working on his second masters degree and a GREAT Dad, full time to his kids. He totally understands my work ( it's unconventional and most are fearful of it) but not only understands it..practices the same things I do and is well versed in it. I love that we can talk about it and share.
I have no expectations..but I'm totally smitten which is SO RARE for me. I'm generally not interested or even attracted, but he's got it all.
Totally welcomed at this time after my jeep guy heart destruction.
hahahahaaa!
He was talking about custody, the kids, etc. I was listening intently and he stopped and said "Enough about me, why were you quiet?" I said "I was listening, silly. I wanted to hear what you had to say". ..in which he replied "you know, M________, but what about you? Don't you think it's important that someone listens to you too?"
Yeah. Sweet. Got me there...
