My boyfriend recently got out of the ICU, he was there for about 5 days. I got a call from his family letting me know that he was there and what had happened to him. He called me the next day and I had light contact with his family on what had happened. He never wanted me to go see him in fear of how he looked with the tubes and wires and needles hooked up to him. He just recently went home (he lives about 1 1/2 away). I asked him again if he wanted me to come see him and he said he just wants to be alone. I get a text from him today saying he just needs space to figure out and handle what happened to him. I want to respect his space as much as I can but I am really struggling with doing that. He is leaving to be 10 hours away in a couple of weeks so the last of things I want is to let him go. I am trying as hard as I can to respect it but I am struggling with coping with this. Thank you guys

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

All the best.
I agree with rose3, respect his wishes and maybe after he has had time he will contact you.
He may be in shock right now. I think people handle things differently.. some want their partners around, some don't.
Thank you guys
