tell her how you're hurting and let her know that if she truely has valid reasons for keeping you apart, you are willing to try and understand.
maybe there can be a compromise. maybe you can see your friend under your mom's supervision every once in awhile.
It could be a problem with your mom being overprotective or just a controlling tyrant (no offense) but from the way you describe it, she's more likely a tyrant.
I'm not sure what exactly to say though. It seems like you're forcing yourself to accept the fact that you can't see this friend. If that's the case then take everything on a day to day basis until something changes. If you do want to try to keep this person in your life then you might be out of luck. Tyrants will do things for the purpose of control/power
If you want to move on, try making other friends. I know it can be hard! Are you able to get involved in other activities where you can meet new people?
