Perhaps having a day out of the week where you both do something together that you both enjoy would be something to consider. I also think since he is just settling in it will take a bit of time for him to pursue some hobbies of his own and hang with new friends from time to time would also help. And it may take some tme for him to feel at home even though you all have been in a long distance relationship for a couple of years. Finding that balance is always a bit tough but not impossible.
Just remember communication and productive action from both of you is the key to making things work out. After all you can't keep feeling guilty for wanting your own space and he can't continue to question if he is bothering you or not as this won't help make either one of you feel comfortable living together. Anyway it won't be easy and there will be times both of you will feel hurt or guilty by your actions but to me that is all part of being in a relationship as well as learning more on how to communicate, compromise and getting a good understanding about each other as well as your own wants and needs.
Time will tell in the future if this relationship is right for the both of you. Remember being together should be adding to your lives not subtracting things from it. Wishing you both the very best and hoping that you can work everything out:)
You are one lucky girl. Give him a break lol
I think a lot of me needing space was when things were over the phone I could shut off worry and distract myself when I see him I have a hard time doing that. He is starting a new business and we are planning a wedding so there has been a lot of stress and anxiety this past month. But things are getting better so 90% of the worry is gone and he has more time to do things like walks.
