I've been with my significant other for almost a year now, we've been together since November. We had a great loving and friendly relationship. He was always so supportive of me and always there to make me feel so loved. Since summer started I just felt us disconnect. We didnt see eachother much or talk as much as we used to. We just arent close anymore. I don't feel that connection anymore and it makes me feel like theres something wrong with me. He prioritizes almost everything over me, especially weed and it hurts. I know that the drug use is something he's recently been working on, which makes me very proud. I just feel like it's too late for it to make a difference in our relationship. I feel like I lost my best friend. I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable in the relationship due to my lack of feelings. Everytime I've tried to have a serious talk about it he gets mad or upset, which is expected but I feel like that's all we focus on then. Not the actual problem, just how he's feeling. I'm just lost and I dont know what I can do. I know he loves me but he's not giving me the love I need. I've expressed that to him and he just takes it as that he's not good enough for me. I wish I could just tell him what I need in a way that he could understand it but at the same time I just wish I could take some time to give myself what I need and have some alone time. Thoughts??

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Do not be afraid to set deadlines, consequences, and boundaries. You are not a doormat. If he does not treat you with respect, you need to move on.
I also agree that time alone can be healthy time to reflect......xo
