There is this guy who is becoming a close friend of mine....and I am starting to have feelings for him...we have known eachother since a little before Xmas time last year, and we have talked about dating, our feelings for a eachother (a little bit) as well as our plans to meet up when he moves to Seattle in June. I am happy with just the hope of being more than friends eventually, and dont even want to rush things when we first meet! Help!! do I keep myself from becoming discontent with being single right now, aand keep myself from scaring him off with saying too much!!? How do I keep our friendship healthy, and drama free for almost two more months, so that we have a good chance for a good relationship?

Sorry to rant, I am just gettng anxious that my missing him is going to show, and make him nervous!

I really don't have any sound advice for you....I wish I did!

I am the type of person who just puts things out there and let the chips fall where they may....

Make sure you keep your individuality and spend time with your other friends too. This is a good article to keep in mind for your individuality it after all will keep feeding your relationship.

the best thing i feel you can do is KEEP BUSY, fill you life with friend, personal interests, and NEW activities.

you won't have time to miss him as much.
He wont be the sole focus or the MOST exciting thing.
you will be enjoying your life regardless, which is important be you with him yet or not.

P.s. - i see no reason not to accept other casual dates - if out there - unless you have spoken of committment "untill" which it doesnt sound like you have.

when you say "drama free" does that mean seeing other people?

if you not together yet - why does it matter if you do or dont? keep you options open!

Thanks Aradia13, we haven't talked about being exclusive at all, but I think that if I did go out with someone else, some trust might be broken between us, and it might create some drama. At this point, if an amazing and Christian man seeks me out, and asks for a date, I would say yes, but I am not going to look. :) I appreciate you taking the time to reply! HUGS.

I'd say just relax and don't worry about it. Sounds like things are off to a good start. Just be yourself and don't get wrapped up in the "what-ifs". Good luck!
